Essano Beauty Guide

I’ve been using Essano products ever since I was a teenager and over the course of time this brand has become a very special part of my beauty routine. I think by now I’m very close to having tried all their products, – so far I’ve used their cleansers, body washes, moisturizers, shampoos, hair serums, face masks, lotions and the list could go on. So I thought since I have so many of their products it would be a fun idea to gather all of them together and review them all in this huge Essano Beauty Guide.

And I’ve done just that so if you want to hear my thoughts on all the Essano products I’ve tried then just keep on reading!

If your looking for a light and gentle cleanser then this one is perfect. It comes in a gel consistency which foams up the second you mix it with some water and it does a great job at cleansing the skin and leaving it feeling super re-freshed in the mornings. Besides the mornings I also love using this cleanser at night after I take my makeup of with a wet wipe. Sometimes no matter how hard I try to remove all my makeup there always seems to be some left so I love going over my face with this cleanser and just removing any makeup that may have been left. The lovely sweet floral scent is also a nice pick me up in the mornings.

As much as I wanted to love this toner I think it just didn’t hit the mark for me. I used it for a good two weeks before I stopped using it and in those two weeks it didn’t really do anything to special to me skin. If anything I think it made it slightly worse. Something I noticed straight away when I used this toner was just how dry it left my skin feeling. When I would put it on it honestly felt like it soaked up all the moisture on my face. Which I don’t think a toner is suppose to do that, right? This is the first toner that I’ve used that does that and I gotta say I’m not a fan. I absolutely hate using products that dry out my skin and when I found out this toner was doing just that I immediately stopped using it.

I’ve been using this moisturizer ever since I was a teenager and still to this day it works just as amazing as it did then. This moisturizer is a great combination of moisturizing your skin without leaving it feeling and looking oily. That’s one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to moisturizers, when they don’t absorb quickly into my skin and they just sort of sit there. This moisturizer absorbs really quickly into my skin and just leaves me with this beautiful hydrated glow. Like with the cleanser the scent is very floraly but I would say this one is slightly lighter compared to the cleanser. Which I actually prefer because I’m not to big on creams and moisturizers that have really strong scents to them.

In total I’ve tried 3 different Rosehip Oils and if I’m being completely honest I really couldn’t tell the difference between them. Different price points, different brands but they still worked just the same for me. And before anyone comments yes I did make sure they were all certified organic. Still I didn’t notice a difference.

They all worked beautifully on my skin just like this Rosehip oil by Essano. Rosehip oil has been a staple in my beauty routine ever since I can remember. I have used it for everything from beauty to hair care to body care. It’s my all in one oil. I use it to hydrate any dry spots on my skin, help with breakouts, keep my skin moisturized and hydrated and also to help keep my skin-tone even. I used to get really red around my cheek and nose area and ever since I started using Rosehip oil that problem has completely gone. My skin is a lot more clearer and even toned now. Rosehip oil I love using in my night routine, I did try it out once in the morning but I felt it made my skin look at little to oily so I just stick to using it at night now. And I just add 1-2 drops onto my hands and slowly massage it into my skin making sure to work it in everywhere. When I wake up in the morning my skin is usually looking and feeling incredibly hydrated and soft.

Glass jars for creams = love it. Ever since I can remember I have always loved buying creams that come in glass jars. I don’t know what it it about them but somehow they always seem to give of this luxurious feel. You can just imagine my excitement when I found out this night cream comes in none other then a glass jar. I was flying high I was so excited when I got it then I got home and tried it out. My excitement for this night cream went down quickly the next day. This was my first time using a night cream, usually I would always stick to using either Coconut Oil, Rosehip oil or just my morning moisturizer, but since I wanted to upgrade my beauty routine I thought hey why not add a night cream to my nightime beauty routine. I really didn’t think through the fact that my skin hates heavy creams. The second I put on a heavy cream my skin breaks out and when I tried this night cream it did just that. The next morning my skin was a mess and it was partially if not all my fault. I really should have payed more attention to exactly how heavy the cream was and not just bought it because I loved the brand and glass jars.

This night cream probably works great it just didn’t on my skin type. So the only advice I can give is if you have sensitive skin or skin that’s prone to breakouts when using a heavy cream then definitely avoid buying this night cream. However if your skin is used to heavier creams, then definitely give it a go and let me know what you think of it.

On days when I want to relax and pamper my skin this mask is my go-to. I love the way it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and helps brighten up any marks on my face from breakouts. It saves me time from having to apply lemon to those areas and plus this mask is a lot less drying for my skin. The scent itself is very neutral and smells like what I would imagine clay would smell like. The container it comes in, while I love the fact that it is pretty big, I would have loved it even more if it was in a glass container instead of a plastic one. But that’s just my preference.

This hair serum is a god sent. Hands down I think out of all the Essano products this one has got to be my favorite. I’ve tried many hair serums before but this one surpasses all of them combined. It’s an incredible serum that does wonders at smoothing out all my frizzy (and baby) hairs and leaving it beautifully soft and silky. And also whilst it makes my hair look great I also love the fact that it’s also hydrating and taking care of my hair as well. I’ve notice a huge difference in my hair when I use it, especially in how my hair feels. It’s lot less dry and a so much stronger.
And I can’t skip over the scent, because the scent of this serum is just gorgeous. It’s this beautiful floral scent which I’ve honestly never smelled anything like it. It’s very different from the usual floral scents in other products. This one I think is more defined in a way. It’s really hard to explain it but if you ever come across this serum in store make sure to smell it, you’ll fully understand what I’m saying then.

Overall: 10/10 Would I repurchase?: Definitely!

This shampoo turned out to be incredibly underwhelming. The main reason I got it was because it was suppose to add volume into my hair, something I really wanted at the time, and instead of it making my hair more voluminous it actually did the complete opposite. As soon as I dried my hair I could notice my hair was really flat and also still slightly greasy as well. Not what I wanted at all. Another problem I had with this shampoo was since it didn’t clean my hair to well it got incredibly greasy by the second day, so spreading out the time between washes was impossible. The only thing I really loved about this shampoo was the scent. It was so lovely and transported me to the beach each time I smelt it.

If you want silky smooth hair then this shampoo is the way to go. It truly does what it claims to do, and that’s smoothen out your hair. When I first tried this out I was pretty skeptical because I had already gone through so many other shampoos that claimed they “smooth frizzy hair” only to be sorely disappointed time and time again. But this shampoo was different. After the first use I noticed immediately a difference to my hair. My baby hairs and the frizziness on my roots had disappeared and overall my hair looked much more softer, hydrated and silky. It completely transformed my hair. A main thing I love about this shampoo (besides making my hair look Blake Lively gorgeous) is just how easy it makes stretching out between washes. When I use this shampoo my hair dosen’t get greasy easily and I can easily stretch out between washes for 3 -4 days. Which gives my hair plenty of time to just be and not be stripped of it’s natural oils every other day. My hair is much more healthier and stronger these days then what it used to be and that’s partly because of this shampoo.

I love using this conditioner right after I’m done shampooing my hair to just add a slight bit more bit of smoothness to the ends of my hair. This conditioner does a wonderful job at that but I do gotta add for those of you who don’t know when you use conditioner only use it on the ENDS of your hair. If you add this onto your roots your hair is going to be as flat as a crepe, so remember NOT on roots – ONLY on ends.

I love this body wash so much. One of my favorite things about it has definitely got to be the scent. It’s such a lovely and relaxing mix of floral and mango, at least that’s what it reminds me of. On the actual packaging it says it’s actually a mix of frangipani and paw paw, but I don’t know if you ask me it’s more mango scented then paw paw. The scent is up for debate  *cough mango mango cough* but moving on besides smelling like a dream it also lathers you clean. Sorry couldn’t miss my chance to sound like a chessy advertisement. But no in all seriousness this actually is a really great body wash. It does a great job at cleaning your skin and leaving it feeling re-freshed and cleansed. The only little thing I dislike about this body wash is the pump. The pump tends to always jam when I’m in the shower, which isn’t to much of a big deal cause it’s easily fixed by hitting the pump up again but it does kind of get annoying after the fifth time.
